The Quad Cities and its surrounding communities are thriving! The majestic Mississippi River unites four cities - Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa and Moline and Rock Island in Illinois. With a combined population of 400,000 (and growing), the area offers all of the amenities of a big city, while still maintaining a small town feel.
Affordable housing combined with excellent school systems, award-winning museums, and tons of fantastic family entertainment makes the Quad Cities an ideal place to call home. Quad City kids benefit from top-notch educational and cultural opportunities. Quad City adults enjoy a rich night life and world-class entertainment.
Getting Here is Easy
Fly directly into the Quad Cities International Airport (MLI) located in Moline, IL. Or, drive here from just about any major city in the Midwest on I-80 or I-74.

East Moline, Illinois

East Moline is the smallest of the metro Quad City towns with a population just over 22,000. The city is bordered on the north by the Mississippi River and the Island Marina is a river access point. The paved bike path along the river connects to Moline and smaller communities upstream.
The Rock Island County Fairgrounds are located in the city and the 18-hole golf course at Short Hills Country Club takes advantage of the city's rolling landscape.

Galesburg, Illinois

Galesburg is located in Knox County, about 50 miles south of the metro Quad City area. The town's 32,000 residents enjoy 25 parks and recreation areas.
Amtrak provides daily service to and from Chicago and cities west of Galesburg. Galesburg is home to Knox College, a private four-year liberal arts college, and Carl Sandburg College, a two-year community college.

Geneseo, Illinois

Geneseo is a charming small town, about 20 miles east of the Quad Cities in Henry County, with a population around 6,500.The town is known for its Victorian style homes and has a quaint downtown with stores participating in an annual Christmas Walk.
Old-fashioned festivals, parades, a local theatre group, and ice cream socials are a few of the reasons that generations of families choose to stay in Geneseo.

Kewanee, Illinois

Kewanee is ideally situated between the Quad Cities and Peoria, Illinois and has a population of about 13,000. Golf courses and parks provide opportunities to enjoy nature and the Henry County Fair and Hog Days Festival are summer events not to be missed.
Kewanee Hospital opened a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in 2008 and is designated by Medicare as a Critical Access Hospital.

Moline, Illinois

One of the four Quad Cities, Moline has a population over 43,000 and is home to John Deere's world headquarters. Shopping attractions and recreation along the Mississippi River are plentiful in Moline. The iWireless Center is the hub of the downtown and hosts sporting events, concerts, meetings, and family shows.
Black Hawk College serves nearly 20,000 credit and non-credit students in 56 associate's degrees and 48 occupational certificate programs. The Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Riverfront Campus opened for classes in January 2012. WIU is a public university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees and one doctorate degree program.

Port Byron, Illinois

This river town has a population of about 1,675 residents. About a third of the population works in the manufacturing sector and commute time to work is about 20 minutes.
The city is best known for Tug Fest, a bi-state tug of war across the Mississippi River. Teams compete and pull on the 2,400 foot long rope and families gather to watch the tugs, participate in the 5K, watch stage shows, and marvel at the fireworks display.

Rock Island, Illinois

Just under 40,000 people call Rock Island home and have the option to live in the city's historic homes, downtown condos, new subdivisions or wooded retreats. Rock Island boasts a downtown entertainment district, a casino, botanical center, and marina.
In the heart of the city lies Black Hawk State Historic Site, featuring over 200 acres with trails, picnic areas, nature center and a museum of Native American life.

Thomson, Illinois

The Village of Thomson is rurally located in Carroll County, Illinois, about 45 miles from the metro Quad Cities. The population is just under 600 and the village has been known for its export of melons and other produce and exceptional hunting, fishing and recreational sports.
Birdwatchers can see pelicans, sand hill cranes, orioles and other water and songbirds. The Great River Trail Bike Path runs through Thomson and covers 60 miles from Rock Island to Savanna, Illinois.

Bettendorf, Iowa

Bettendorf is home to over 33,000 people. The city has great public amenities including a library, Family Museum of Arts, and Sciences and Palmer Hills Golf Course.
Bettendorf is one of a few cities in the world to have a city-wide fiber optic network available for business use. Much land development is being done in Bettendorf and there is room for more new housing growth. MONEY Magazine included Bettendorf in its list of 100 best small towns in 2009.

Clinton, Iowa

Over 25,000 people live in Clinton, Iowa, upriver from the Quad Cities about 40 miles. Clinton is a small town with big amenities including a Class 1A baseball team, aquatic center, symphony, and professional theater company.
In 2006, a Vision Iowa Grant allowed the city of Clinton to beautify its riverfront, which has become a hub of activity for local residents and visitors.

Davenport, Iowa

Davenport is the third largest city in Iowa, with a population around 100,000. City has bountiful choices for shopping, dining and entertainment. The vibrant downtown area has an art museum, riverfront band shell and park and baseball stadium with stunning river views.
Luxury, market-rate apartment and lofts are available downtown and historic homes dot the bluffs along the river. New housing developments are popping up along the city's north and west borders.

De Witt, Iowa

De Witt, Iowa, is a small town of 5,500 just 20 miles north of Davenport. It is a quintessential small town with a renovated main street and plenty of activities for families. The aquatic center and extensive walking/biking trails provide outdoor summer fun.
The central Community School District serves approximately 1,600 students from De Witt and the communities of Grand Mound, Low Moor and Welton. The Central Performing Arts Center is a new state-of-the-art venue for student and community performances and is a joint venture between the school district and the city.

Eldridge, Iowa

Eldridge is a rural community of fewer than 6,000 people and is located just north of the Quad Cities. It offers the advantages of small town living, yet is a quick drive into the Quad Cities. The North Scott area is made up of several communities: Eldridge, Park View, Long Grove, McCausland, Donahue, and Princeton, Iowa.
Several newer subdivisions are located in Eldridge. Lots are larger in the country and Eldridge has plenty of room to grow.

Le Claire, Iowa

Le Claire is a small town of under 4,000 residents with a charming downtown that is a favorite destination of locals and visitors. The shops and restaurants along Cody Road are very popular and this section of town along the river is a hot spot for festivals and events.
Single-family homes and condos are available in new developments and Le Claire also boasts a wide assortment of charming older homes. Le Claire is one of the fastest growing communities in the Quad Cities.

Muscatine, Iowa

Muscatine is a river town of almost 23,000 south and west of the Quad Cities. Discovery Park is Muscatine County's newest recreation area and is home to the Environmental Learning Center, the Muscatine Arboretum, and a beautiful pond with trails.
Muscatine is primarily located on a series of bluffs and hills at a major west-south bend in the Mississippi River. The riverbend gives the city roughly 260 degrees of riverfront. This view is coveted by homeowners along the city's bluffs.
